YOGA UNION VOLUNTEER
PAGE
a work in progress
Karma Yoga, or the Yoga of Selfless Service, is one of the fundamental
practices of the Yoga tradition. The Yoga Union Volunteer Page offers
you a way to easily find an outlet for your desire to help others.
We are also in the process of developing a volunteer program of Yoga
For The Homebound. We will be looking for volunteers for that as well,
and help in establishing links to New York organizations serving the
homebound. One of the best ways we can volunteer is by bringing Hatha
Yoga and Meditation to schools, hospitals, prisons and other organizations.
Please let us know if you are already involved in such a project and
we will list it. Many small, unofficial organizations exist at the
local level without a web site or official name, but which may need
volunteers or which you would simply like us to know about.
Meanwhile, take
a moment to see if there is anything you would like to do, or make
a contribution to. If your favorite organization is not listed, send
us the information so that we can include it here (yogaunion@nyc.rr.com)
