ONLINE CLASS & REGISTRATION

We urge you to pre-register for Yoga Union classes using Wellness Living as this expedites the check-in process.

CANCELLATION POLICY

FOR CLASSES

We have an eight-hour minimum cancellation policy for all regular classes.

If you schedule a class but fail to cancel it eight hours before the class takes place, you are charged for that class.

Please cancel through Wellness Living or call the studio at 212-510-7404.

Even if we receive the message later, we will go by the time stamp and refund your money or class card if appropriate.

LATE CANCEL EXCEPTIONS

Medical emergencies, excepted, of course, huge snowfall and so on.

Alas, work meetings or travel, delayed subways and so on don't qualify.

If you have an unlimited and don't cancel your class eight hours ahead, you lose one day on your unlimited.

So make sure you treat class cancellations with the same attention as students with class cards.

FOR WORKSHOPS/SERIES

If you need to cancel a weekend workshop, you must do so by 6pm the preceding Monday.

If you need to cancel a Monday night workshop, you must do so by 6pm the preceding Wednesday.

Medical emergencies, are the only exception for workshop/series cancellation.

Work meetings or work-related travel do not qualify for cancellation/reimbursement.

**Yoga Union reserves the right to cancel any workshop within 48 hours,

as well as on the day of in the event of inclement weather or other emergency.

ARRIVAL

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time to avoid

a rush at the desk, and to allow time for set-up in the classroom.

Even if you are pre-registered and/or a regular student,

you must stop at the desk so that we know you are present.

The desk staff may not be familiar with you, so it's important to identify yourself.

CLASS LEVELS

Yoga Union takes class levels seriously. It's a way of keeping students both safe and stimulated.

If you have back issues and need to work in a special way,

it is best to stay within the framework of the Backcare and Scoliosis Classes.

The regular alignment classes are not designed for those with herniations and scoliosis.

They might involve marked spinal flexion, deep backbends and rotations and other work that might be injurious to you.

Also, not every alignment teacher is a backcare specialist.

It is also important that teachers be able to teach to the class level in question.

Please ask teachers before taking a given alignment class if it's appropriate for you.

Sometimes it might be, and sometimes it might not, depending on what is being taught.

For more, please read the Class Levels page on the website if you are uncertain

about what might be expected in a regular Level 1 or 2 class.

Again, we want you to be safe and happy, and for everyone to be confident that they will be in a class of the level indicated.

CONDUCT

In order to preserve the overall serenity of the studio, we ask that students

consider how their attitude, personal hygiene, and behavior affects other students and instructors.

This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from the following:

  • hate speech

  • sexual misconduct

  • discussing politics and/or religious beliefs

  • drug and/or alcohol use

  • smoking right before coming to the studio (allow a minimum 30 minute grace period)
